Prolozone Therapy
At Meeting Point Health, we use Prolotherapy and Prolozone Therapy to naturally stimulate the body’s innate healing response. These regenerative injections deliver oxygen and nutrients directly into injured or weakened tissues, encouraging collagen production and restoring structural integrity. By strengthening ligaments, tendons, and joints, Prolotherapy and Prolozone can relieve chronic pain, improve stability, and support long-term healing—without surgery or extended downtime.
Personalized care to help you regain mobility and live without pain
Prolotherapy is a cutting-edge, nonsurgical treatment that harnesses your body’s natural ability to heal. By stimulating tissue repair and strengthening weakened joints, tendons, and ligaments, prolotherapy provides long-lasting relief from chronic pain and injuries. At Meeting Point Health, Dr. Stephen Matta specializes in this innovative regenerative therapy, creating personalized treatment plans to help you restore function, reduce pain, and regain your active lifestyle—without the need for surgery or long-term reliance on medications. Discover how prolotherapy can transform your recovery journey.
How does Prolotherapy work?
Your body already has the innate ability to heal itself. Prolotherapy enhances this natural process by using dextrose, a well-researched, easily-absorbed sugar molecule, to trigger a controlled, localized inflammatory response. This response increases blood flow and activates growth factors at the injury site, stimulating collagen production and tissue repair. As your cells go to work, they recruit platelets, stem cells, and additional growth factors to promote fresh collagen formation. The result? Improved range of motion, stronger tissues, and reduced pain—helping you get back to feeling your best.
Dr. Matta will first obtain your history and perform diagnostics with ultrasound imaging, orthopedic testing and osteopathic palpation to best understand the nature and location of the injury. After diagnosing the specific area of treatment, he will inject the area with a local anesthetic to ensure a comfortable procedure. The prolotherapy mixture is then injected under ultrasound-guidance to ensure precision. Your body automatically begins to regenerate by sending growth factors, platelets and stem cells to the area to repair and rebuild the damaged tissues.
