Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) & Poly MVA IV Drip Therapy

Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a natural fatty acid found in all healthy cells. It plays important roles in glucose metabolism and has powerful antioxidant properties within the body. ALA is commonly used as an oral supplement, but can also be administered through an intravenous (IV) drip, delivering the nutrients directly into the bloodstream.

Poly MVA is a type of ALA therapy that is a comprehensive formula that is composed of an Alpha Lipoic Acid mineral complex, NAC, B vitamins, vitamin C, trace minerals, and amino acids. This formula of several compounds is more commonly used than ALA IV therapy alone because it is better absorbed in the body. In addition, the added nutrients enhance the antioxidant properties of the treatment process.

If you’re ready to take the next step and receive the benefits of IV therapy, reach out to Meeting Point and schedule an appointment.

The Benefits of Alpha Lipoic Acid IV Therapy

Due to its important effects on the body, IV therapy can provide several health benefits. One of these effects includes the enhanced antioxidant potential to fight free radical damage and weaken cancer cell metabolism. This makes ALA IV therapy an excellent treatment modality for biotoxin illnesses, boosting immune response, improving white blood cell function, aiding in detoxification, and is overall an adjunct to chemotherapy.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid therapy also improves energy production by supporting cellular metabolism and has neuroprotective effects on the body. This may be beneficial in treating specific neurodegenerative diseases such as neuropathic pain, caused by chronic nerve damage, as well as retinopathies caused by diabetes.

In addition, because these Lipoic acid mineral complexes are administered through IV, they are able to quickly pass across the blood brain barrier and provide instant benefits.

Am I A Candidate For ALA IV Therapy?

At your initial consultation at Meeting Point Health, an expert healthcare professional will help determine if you are a candidate for ALA or Poly MVA IV therapy after a thorough health evaluation. While this treatment can be used to improve general wellness and have anti-aging properties, it is specifically beneficial for those undergoing cancer treatment, suffering from nerve pain, or certain neurodegenerative illnesses.

What is PolyMVA?

A PolyMVA IV drip contains a potent formula composed of Alpha-Lipoic Acid, NAC, B vitamins, trace minerals, and various amino acids. This combination of ingredients allows for increased absorption and bioavailability within the body.

The Cost of ALA / PolyMVA IV Therapy

A single IV infusion at Meeting Point Health can start at $350 per IV infusion and $4K for 12 IV treatments.

Alpha Lipoic Acid FAQs

Everyone will have a unique individual response to the IV drip and the duration of effects is dependent on several factors, including the individual’s overall health status, and the type and severity of the condition being treated.

It is important to note that the long-term effects of this type of IV therapy may have cumulative beneficial effects, which improve with multiple treatments.

The IV drip takes effect almost immediately once the infusion is started and the nutrients are delivered into the circulatory system. While this IV therapy takes effect as the formula enters the bloodstream, you may not feel any physical effects immediately during the IV infusion. Six or more treatments are needed to obtain full effect.

The frequency of IV therapy sessions will be determined by your healthcare provider and can vary depending on your specific needs. Most individuals benefit from infusions 1-2 times per week, while others may be able to space it out further apart.

As with any medical intervention, there is a potential risk for undesirable side effects. Specific adverse effects associated with ALA IV therapy include allergic reactions, IV site reactions, skin rash, gastrointestinal upset, and patients with diabetes may experience hypoglycemia or low blood sugar levels.

Before undergoing ALA IV therapy, your healthcare provider will discuss all of your medical conditions and the medications you are currently taking. Some medications may interact with ALA IV therapy, including chemotherapy drugs, thyroid medicines, and diabetic medications, such as insulin.

As always, it is essential to disclose all over-the-counter medications and supplements you may take as well with your healthcare provider.
