VSELs

VSEL Therapy activates the body’s innate regenerative potential by stimulating dormant stem cells for repair and rejuvenation. These naturally occurring cells support tissue healing, reduce inflammation, and optimize cellular communication. At Meeting Point Health, VSEL Therapy is part of our cutting-edge longevity and regenerative care.

How Does VSEL Therapy Work?

VSEL Stem Cell Therapy works by retrieving VSELs from the patient’s own blood and then returning them to the body in a three-part process that involves extraction, activation, and reintroduction of the cells. Since VSEL therapy is an autologous stem cell treatment, meaning it uses the patient’s own cells, there is little risk of rejection or adverse reactions.

1. Blood Collection and PRP Extraction

The first step of preparing for VSEL Therapy is a blood draw to collect a sample of blood. The VSEL cells are then extracted, concentrated, and activated before being injected back into the body.

VSEL therapy is often compared to platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, but it offers an added regenerative boost due to the presence of VSEL stem cells. To begin your treatment, the Meeting Point Health team will take a sample of your blood. We draw blood using the same methods that are used in routine lab tests.

The collected blood is placed into a machine called a centrifuge. This is used to separate out the various components of the blood, including the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) where VSELs can be found. PRP is already rich with essential growth factors and regenerative elements to promote healing, and the presence of VSELs makes PRP even more powerful in regenerative medicine.

2. Activation of VSELs Using Laser Technology

While VSEL cells have powerful regenerative potential, they are dormant in adults. Unlike traditional platelet-rich plasma therapy, VSEL activation enhances cellular differentiation and self-renewal.

After collection and extraction, the team at Meeting Point Health freezes VSELs in PRP overnight creating an environment of hypoxia (oxygen deprivation), and hypothermia (heat deprivation). The following day, the VSELs are defrosted and run under full spectrum light – photobiomodulation (also called low-level light therapy, used to stimulate cells) – which activates the VSELs.

Our unique activation process enhances the VSEL stem cells’ ability to multiply and differentiate or develop into various cell types. This differentiation is what elevates VSEL Therapy over other stem cell treatments, making VSELs a highly valuable alternative.

3. Reintroduction of VSELs into the Body

Once your VSEL stem cells have been collected, extracted, and activated, they can be returned to the body. VSELs are reintroduced to the body in two ways: targeted injections or intravenous (IV) infusion.

For widespread or systemic concerns like autoimmune disease or neurodegenerative disorders, IV infusion allows the VSELs to spread throughout the entire body, offering a generalized approach.

Targeted injections focus the VSELs on a particular area of the body, allowing the MPH team to specifically address issues like hair loss, signs of aging, and joint pain.

Whether administered via IV or injection, VSEL Therapy is an outpatient procedure. Because it utilizes your own blood and its components, it is generally well-tolerated by patients with minimal—if any—side effects. After your VSELs have been reintroduced to your body, you can immediately return to your normal activities.

Healing and Regeneration

VSEL therapy is a powerful form of cellular regeneration therapy that encourages the body’s natural healing processes. These stem cells play an important role in tissue healing, regeneration, and anti-aging. Leveraging their potential for self-renewal, VSEL anti-aging stem cell therapy has the potential to:

Promote Cellular Repair

VSEL stem cells can replace damaged or aged cells with new, healthy ones, helping to maintain youthful tissue structure and function.

Enhance Collagen Production

Collagen is essential for skin elasticity and strength. By stimulating the cells that oversee connective tissues, VSELs may improve skin texture, reduce wrinkles, and enhance overall skin tone.

Decrease Oxidative Stress

Aging is partly caused by oxidative stress, which damages cells over time. VSEL stem cells help counteract aging by repairing cellular damage and supporting healthy function.

Reduce Inflammation

As VSELs start to replace damaged cells with new, healthy cells, inflammation naturally subsides. VSELs can also help to regulate immune system activity, including turning off the natural signals that an immune response is needed.

Conditions Treated with VSEL Therapy

VSEL Stem Cell Therapy is versatile and can be used to treat a wide range of concerns and conditions, ranging to cosmetic to debilitating:

  • Sports injuries
  • Arthritis
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Hair loss
  • Joint pain or injury
  • Neurodegenerative diseases such as traumatic brain injuries, Parkinson’s, or Alzheimer’s
  • Osteoporosis
  • Signs of aging, such as wrinkles
  • Spinal cord injuries

Benefits of VSEL Therapy

By using the body to heal itself, VSEL Stem Cell Therapy offers a holistic alternative to many common medical treatments, including medications, steroids, and surgery. The benefits of choosing this anti-aging stem cell therapy over other treatments include:

  • VSEL Therapy is a natural, holistic option that uses your own cells to promote healing, stop the signs of aging, and reduce pain
  • It’s minimally invasive and outpatient-friendly, requiring a couple of quick visits and little to no recovery time
  • Because VSEL Therapy utilizes your own blood and cells, there’s a low risk of immune rejection or adverse reactions
  • The differentiation capabilities of VSELs make VSEL Therapy versatile and useful in treating a wide range of conditions
  • VSELs offer our patients significant potential improvements in their physical and cognitive function, appearance, and quality of life

For those exploring non-surgical pain relief in Philadelphia, VSEL therapy provides an innovative, minimally invasive solution.

What to Expect Before, During, and After the Procedure

Here’s what you need to know before, during, and after your VSEL Therapy treatment at Meeting Point Health in Philadelphia.

Preparing for Your Appointment

VSEL Therapy isn’t right for everyone. Before you begin, the Meeting Point Health Team will sit down with you to discuss your concerns and determine if VSEL Stem Cell Therapy is the right approach, or if another treatment option will be better suited for your needs.

Before your first VSEL Stem Cell Therapy appointment, drink plenty of water to ensure that you’re well-hydrated. This helps to ensure that the blood draw goes quickly and easily.

What the Procedure Entails

VSEL Therapy is a two-appointment procedure so that our team can both collect a blood sample and reintroduce the VSELs to the body through targeted or intravenous (IV) injections. At Meeting Point Health, these activities occur over the span of two brief visits. In between, we process the blood to isolate and activate the VSELs in platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

Recovery and Aftercare

Minimal recovery is needed for patients who undergo VSEL Therapy. You may experience some soreness as a result of the needles, both from the collection of blood and the reintroduction of the VSELs. VSEL therapy is generally well-tolerated by our patients, and few experience any side effects.
